In case you missed them…

A few of our superstar clients are worthy of a shout-out this week. In case you missed the latest food & travel countdowns by Fodor’sUSA Today and Esquire, we got it all for you right here:

The Jefferson Hotel, Washington D.C.

The Jefferson Hotel, Washington D.C.

Fodor’s named The Jefferson Hotel, Washington D.C., a ‘Fodor’s 100’ award-winner for Enduring Classic Hotels. “Every inch of this 1923 Beaux-Arts landmark exudes refined elegance…” they gushed. What Fodor’s loved was the hotel’s history, impeccable service, prestigious location, amenities and accessibility. Great for romance, they hinted.

Red Fish Grill, New Orleans

Red Fish Grill, New Orleans

The Red Fish Grill down in New Orleans, Louisiana, found itself a spot on USA Today Travel’s 10 Best Seafood Restaurants. A member of the Ralph Brennan restaurant family, the Red Fish Grill specializes in fresh, Gulf-caught Red Fish, but has perfected the preparation of everything from catfish to shrimp. “The standout,” USA Today Travel says, are the Buffalo-Style Oysters, although the BBQ Oysters (flash fried with Crystal BBQ and Housemade Blue Cheese) ain’t a bad option either.

Mariza, New Orleans

Mariza, New Orleans

Again, New Orleans stole the spotlight as Mariza was named one of Esquire’s Best New Restaurants. The magazine commends the restaurant for sparking vitality within the Rice Mill Lofts—urban visionary Sean Cummings’ contemporary loft-style apartments in artsy up-and-coming Bywater neighborhood.

Mariza’s Laurie Casebonne and Ian Schnoebelen have delightfully fused Venetian inspirations with the local Creole cuisine to bring about menu items like the Pepperoni Soup and the Pappardelle with Duck Breast and Liver Mousse. Their Gulf catches, Esquire reports, are treated with “nothing more than perfect grilling.” Might be time for a jog to the Big Easy.
